How It All Began

Starting up my own business is something that I never thought about in my plan for my future career when I was a child. In fact, it never crossed my mind. Ever since I have been young I have looked towards the media industry as my future.

When I was in Secondary school we were given the task of planning our life out over the next 20 years and people would tell me, "its easy for you, you know what you want to do in the end". And at that point I did.

Since all I had thought of, was becoming a "camera-woman" that's what I set out to do. I chose my GCSE's in order to get onto my chosen college course and attended a weekly group to gain my bronze and silver arts awards. I worked on set to gain experience working on a number of different roles from runner, to costume designer and camera operator to starring in a short film myself.

It wasn't until I was nearing the end of my first year at college when I decided I wanted a change... and that was when Emiline House began. Although I enjoyed my course (Creative Media Production) and I achieved the grades I aimed for. I realized it wasn't going to bring the sense of fulfillment I was looking for.

Interior design is an interest of mine and I can spend hours scrolling through Pinterest so I took this as inspiration. I looked into college courses and surrounding jobs but after endless searching and not finding anything that appealed to me the final choice was to create a job for myself.

The look and organisation of my environment is very important to me and I wanted to create a website filled with products I love to inspire people and help create the home they want.

Emiline House is Your Home's Desire.
