Connect your guests...

When you stay at someones home, it can be awkward to ask for their wifi password. What will they think? Are you being rude? Make it that bit easier by providing the wifi code in their room in a subtle but beautiful way. You can make it look however you want and create the design to fit in with the decor in the room.
Keep the room decor simple.
As you are creating a guest room you need to design it in a way that will appeal to many different people. Take into account the relatives/friends who could potentially stay in the room. We would suggest keeping the colour palette simple with white bedding and plain walls but livening up the place with a fun art print and a colour theme throughout the room. We love the way this guest room has been designed with the pops of yellow. It is a beautiful room yet still simple. [Image found on Pinterest] |
Create your own mini bar
You want to make your guests stay as comfortable as possible. A fun way to do this is to set up your own 'mini bar' or snack area. A couple of magazines, some water, and filling snacks are the basic options but you could go further and add some essentials that your guest may have forgotten. Some examples include, a toothbrush and toothpaste, hand cream, sun cream, lip balm, nail polish...the list goes on and on.

Fresh White Towels

This may be a no-brainer but use fresh white towels for your guests. Nothing is better than wrapping up in a fluffy white towel after a relaxing bath or shower. Keep a separate set of towels for your guest, this will ensure there is always something for them to use and they will stay fresh for longer.
Storage Space

Provide enough storage space for your guests, if they are staying with you for a long period of time this is essential as you can't ever feel settled in living out of your suitcase. We love this bedside table as it provides enough storage and is still open and items can be displayed. Our favourite part is the faux sheepskin rug beside the bed.
